Students at Quest School

Our students are very dynamic young people with ever changing skills, knowledge and attributes that truly make them Quest Kids.

Quest accepts students from all cultural and economic backgrounds, 2 1/2 to 19 years of age, with special needs. Their special needs (cognitive, physical, sensory, emotional, behavioural, medical and/or social) may need varying levels of support and interventions.

There are no restrictions regarding the complexity or number of challenges. We strive to help families make informed decisions by providing all the information we can in regard to placement at Quest.

Quest offers a program that promotes development of students to maximize their quality of life. The program offers a safe environment that stimulates the senses and motivates students to explore and experience their world at school, home and outside.
Maximum effort must be made to prepare students with special challenges to achieve their full potential with the emphasis on "learning is fun," rather than following a clinical approach to learning.

Quest maintains the highest expectations and respect for a child's potential rather than being limited by prognosis or labels.

The Parents at Quest

Parents are directly involved as part of the multi-disciplinary team in setting Individual Program Plan (I.P.P.) goals. This is a significant  component of the program, therapeutic and educational planning process. It ensures consistency between the program, family and community.

Most importantly we believe that all parents have the right to:

  • participate
  • be informed
  • be involved
  • be respected as the child's 1st teacher

Quest has an open door policy and parents are welcome to visit and/or volunteer in their child's classroom at any time, or just drop by for a coffee.
